Parsons, Liang Named to Key Space Posts

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (5/20/02) -- John R. Parsons and Dr. Alexander C. Liang of The Aerospace Corporation have been selected to fill two key space posts.

Parsons, senior vice president of the Space Systems Group, has been elected to a one-year term as vice chair for Southern California of the board of directors of the California Space Authority, which plays a leading role in the development and expansion of the state's space programs and activities.

Liang, general manager of the Vehicle Systems Division, has been reappointed by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta to a two-year term as an industry representative on the Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations on policies that affect regulatory and safety issues and the competitiveness of the U.S. commercial space transportation industry.
