Leadership Changes at The Aerospace Corporation

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (3/22/99) -- Recent leadership changes at The Aerospace Corporation include the promotions of Dr. Michael J. Daugherty to executive vice president, Dr. Joe M. Straus to senior vice president of the Space Systems Group and David F. Nelson to general manager of the newly created Weather and Navigation Division.

Daugherty replaces Dr. George A. Paulikas who retired after 37 years at the company. Straus fills the position vacated by Daugherty, moving up from vice president of Space Program Operations. Nelson continues to hold the position of principal director of the Global Positioning System (GPS) Directorate, one of three directorates in the Weather and Navigation Division.
