Executive Changes Announced
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (6/12/01) --The Aerospace Corporation has announced the following changes to its executive leadership:
- Dr. Joe Straus , senior vice president of
the Space Systems Group, will succeed Dr. Michael Daugherty
as executive vice president effective October 1. Daugherty
will retire October 1 after 21 years with the company. To facilitate
the transition process, Straus will assume the interim position
of senior vice president of Strategic Planning effective June
30.
- John Parsons , senior vice president of the
Engineering and Technology Group, will succeed Straus as senior
vice president of the Space Systems Group effective June 30.
- Dr. Wanda Austin , general manager of the
MILSATCOM Division, will succeed Parsons as senior vice president
of the Engineering and Technology Group effective June 30.
- Dr. Manuel De Ponte , the corporation's chief
engineer, will succeed Austin as general manager of the MILSATCOM
Division. A process is under way to select the new chief engineer.
