Jerry M. "Mike" Drennan Named VP of Colorado Operations

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. ( 7/18/03) -- Jerry M. "Mike" Drennan has been named vice president of Colorado Operations for The Aerospace Corporation effective Aug. 18. He will be based in Colorado Springs, where he will head all Aerospace activities supporting U.S. Air Force Space Command Headquarters as well as the Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.
Drennan comes to The Aerospace Corporation from Raytheon Company, Aurora, Colo., where he was director for Business Development. He retired from the Air Force in 2000 with the rank of brigadier general after 28 years of service. His final Air Force assignment was commander, 21st Space Wing at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Other key positions he held include commandant of the Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.; director of Logistics, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base; and assistant director for Nuclear Operations at the Defense Nuclear Agency, Washington, D.C.
Drennan earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering management from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master of business administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He also completed the Program for Executives at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
