Dan Barbee Named General Manager of Facilities

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (6/12/06) — Dan S. Barbee has been named general manager of the Facilities Division at The Aerospace Corporation, effective June 19. He will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the division’s operations at all company locations, including building initiatives, leasing of facilities, maintenance of facilities, and optimizing space occupancy. He also will be responsible for General Services functions.

Before joining The Aerospace Corporation, Barbee was director of Public Office Buildings with the City and County of Denver, Colo., a position he held since 2001. Other positions he has held include director of facilities at Medtronic AVE, Inc., Santa Rosa, Calif., and operations manager at Incyte Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Palo Alto, Calif.

The Aerospace Corporation, based in El Segundo, Calif., is an independent, nonprofit company that provides objective technical analyses and assessments for national security space programs and selected civil and commercial space programs in the national interest.
