Aerospace Earns Top Safety Council Award

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (6/3/02) -- The Aerospace Corporation has received the Grand Sweepstakes Award for 2001 from the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the National Safety Council. The corporation was selected as the winner in the overall business and industry category.

The award was presented during the 64th annual Business and Industry Awards Ceremony held May 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Aerospace was selected for its overall safety, health, and environmental programs and for its safety record in 2001. The corporation was first and second runner-up in previous years.

More than 100 companies from the Los Angeles area participated in the 2001 safety contest.
