The Aerospace Corporation Announces Leadership Appointments at East, West Coast Offices

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (6/5/07)—The Aerospace Corporation has announced the promotion of Steven M. Leontis to principal director of the STSS (Space Tracking and Surveillance System) Block 06/08 Directorate at the company’s El Segundo, Calif., headquarters, and the appointment of Dr. Dean C. Marvin to principal director of the Research and Program Development Office in El Segundo.

At the company’s Chantilly, Va., office, Patricia A. Maloney has been promoted to principal engineer in the Enterprise Systems and Technology Directorate.

Leontis, in his new position, will provide technical management and leadership for STSS Block 06/08 initiatives supporting the Missile Defense Space Systems organization. He advances from systems director of the STSS Space Segment.

Marvin will be responsible for administering the company’s technical investment program, coordinating intellectual property release activities, determining critical skill staffing needs, and assisting in the development of engineering and technology programs. He formerly was a principal director in Laboratory Operations.

Maloney, in Chantilly, will be assigned to the ground element of the Enterprise Systems and Technology Directorate. She will provide leadership to help government customers find solutions to high-priority technical and programmatic challenges associated with the development of advanced national-security space systems. She advances from systems director for the Economic Market Analysis Center.
