Aerospace, SEI Sign MOU for Continuing Collaboration

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (4/19/06) -- Aerospace and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) have renewed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), continuing a collaborative relationship to provide support to Air Force Space Command, the Space and Missile Systems Center, and the National Reconnaissance Office.

SEI, operated by Carnegie Mellon University, has responsibility as a national laboratory for software engineering research and development. The institute is a federally funded research and development center sponsored by the Department of Defense through the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.

SEI’s mission is to advance software engineering and related disciplines to ensure the development and operation of systems with predictable and improved cost, schedule, and quality.

The Aerospace Corporation, with headquarters in El Segundo, Calif., is an independent, nonprofit company that provides objective technical analyses and assessments for national security space programs and selected civil and commercial space programs in the national interest.
