Drennan

Jerry M. "Mike" Drennan is senior vice president of the Operations and Support Group with oversight responsibility for Corporate Communications, Diversity and EEO, Facilities, Finance and Business Operations, Human Resources, Security and Safety, and The Aerospace Institute. He assumed this position on May 3, 2008. He previously was vice president of the Space Operations, Requirements and Technology organization based at Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he was responsible for all Aerospace activities supporting U.S. Air Force Space Command Headquarters, the Space Warfare Center (now Space Innovation and Development Center), the Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, and United States Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

Before joining The Aerospace Corporation in 2003, Drennan was director of Business Development at Raytheon Company in Aurora, Colorado. He retired from the Air Force in 2000 with the rank of brigadier general after 28 years of service. His final Air Force assignment was commander of the 21st Space Wing at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

Other key Air Force positions he held include commandant of the Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, Alabama; director of Logistics, Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB; assistant director for Nuclear Operations at the Defense Nuclear Agency, Washington, D.C.; and commander of the 321st Missile Wing at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota.

Drennan earned a bachelor's degree in engineering management from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He also completed the Program for Executives at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
