"Meeting the Challenges of Software-Intensive
Space Systems in the 21st Century"

This is the second in a series of Space Systems Software Reliability Workshops, which are dedicated to facilitating an exchange of ideas, techniques, and experiences between space industry professionals engaged in the development of software-intensive space systems and software reliability engineering professionals. We are proud to have this year’s workshop co-hosted with NASA IV&V.

The workshop will take place in conjuction with the IEEE's International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE’06) so that the leading researchers from academia and industry, engineers, and experts experienced with using software reliability engineering techniques in other industries are on hand.

This year’s participants will listen to talks from some of the Aerospace Industry’s leading experts and are invited to:

  • get up to speed with the space industry’s trend towards fielding reliable space systems
  • discuss their space system software reliability approach to obtain feedback
  • provide feedback on the potential difficulties with applying the discussed approaches and other reliability issues they face daily

This workshop is aimed at organizations seeking to produce or acquire reliable software-intensive space systems, space and ground systems, and in particular, system engineers, aerospace industry program managers, software engineers, quality assurance engineers and test engineers.
