U.S. Space Mission Assurance Summit

December 3, 2009
Hyatt Regency Reston, Reston, Virginia

The second U.S. Space Mission Assurance Summit will be held Dec. 3, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency, Reston, Va. The strategic intent of the Summit is to create an environment that will deliver 100% mission success. The summit is endorsed by senior leadership of the Missile Defense Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Reconnaissance Office, and USAF Space and Missile Systems Center.

We hope to achieve two key outcomes: to identify actions to effect immediate improvements in government and industry essential practices, and to identify long-term recommendations to enhance U.S. space program mission success.

Session topics include:

  • Government oversight of contractor application of proven scientific, engineering, quality, and PM practices
  • Mission Assurance for Contracts Across Spectrum of “Acquisition Classes/Categories”
  • Subcontract Management Improvements
  • Early Phase Mission Assurance Fundamentals
