Diversity at Aerospace

ethnically diverse Aerospace employees

Aerospace is committed to fostering a work environment where unique ideas and perspectives are regarded as the cornerstone of an innovative workforce. We believe our diverse population gives the Corporation a competitive edge when providing solutions to customer issues. Assuring mission success is achieved by embracing the different skills, viewpoints and experiences of our people. This is what helps make Aerospace a dynamic and rewarding place to work.

Affirmative Action

Aerospace has an aggressive affirmative action program that includes an internal monitoring and accountability process relative to all state and federal guidelines. We actively recruit minorities and women and offer great opportunities for people of all backgrounds in the mechanical, aerospace, systems, and electrical engineering disciplines.

Office of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs

The Office of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Operations and Support Group and is responsible for advising management on regulatory and compliance practices and implementing diversity and equal employment initiatives.

The Aerospace Diversity Action Committee and Affinity Groups

Fostering communications is one way we use diversity to enhance our business. ADAC is made up of management appointees and members of the Company’s affinity groups who represent our African-American; American Indian/Alaskan Native; Asian-Pacific American; Hispanic; Disabled; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender; Veteran; and Women employees. ADAC serves as a valuable mechanism for broadening communication and provides a forum for input on issues of concern to our employees and the Corporation.

Recruiting and Support Efforts for Employees

We regularly recruit nationally at universities and job fairs where qualified women and minority applicants are represented. Employees and corporate recruiters are involved in college relations, college recruitment, and job fair strategies. See our College Recruitment Schedule for more information.
