Diversity at Aerospace
![]() |
At Aerospace, we seek diversity as a means of enhancing our business, and we believe diversity can be an advantage to our business objectives in serving our national-security space customers. Our commitment to equal employment opportunity widens our range of perspectives and experiences and provides qualified applicants with challenging work in a nurturing work environment.
Affirmative
Action
Aerospace has an aggressive affirmative action program that includes an internal monitoring and accountability process relative to all state and federal guidelines. We actively recruit minorities and women and offer great opportunities for people of all backgrounds in the mechanical, aerospace, systems, and electrical engineering disciplines.
Office
of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs
The Office of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs reports directly to the office of the president and is responsible for advising management on regulatory and compliance practices and implementing diversity and equal-employment initiatives.
The
Aerospace Diversity Action Committee and Affinity Groups
Enhancing communication is one way we use diversity to enhance our business. The Diversity Action Committee is made up of management appointees and members of the company's affinity groups, which represent our Hispanic, Asian, African-American, women, and gay and lesbian employees. This committee serves as a valuable mechanism for enhancing communication and providing input on issues of concern to employees and to the company.
Recruiting
and Support Efforts for Employees
We regularly recruit nationally at universities and job fairs where qualified women and minority applicants are represented. Employees and corporate recruiters are involved in college relations, college recruitment, and job fair strategies. See our College Recruitment Schedule for more information.
